Prelib is a self-screening centre that offers simple and easy-to-access screening services. Complete your medical assessment online and perform your own sampling in one of our centres in less than 20 minutes.

Fees

You will have to pay $5 to $15 in transportation fees.

Opening hours

We offer screening services by appointment only.

You can get tested during the following hours:

  • Monday : 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.

  • Tuesday : 7:30 a.m. to 12 p.m.

  • Wednesday : 2 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.

  • Friday : 7:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Fees

If you have RAMQ, you will pay between $5 and $15 to cover transportation fees.

If you don’t have RAMQ, your samples can be sent to a private laboratory for analysis. In this case, you will have to pay between $200 and $350 in fees, which are reimbursable through private insurance plans..

Target populations

We offer screening services to people aged 14 and over. We offer specialized services to the following groups:

  • MSM (men who have sex with men)

  • 2SLGBTQIA+ individuals

  • Sex workers

  • People who use drugs by inhalation or injection (IDU)

Screening tests offered

We offer screening services for the following STBBIs:

  • Syphilis

  • Hepatitis B

  • Hepatitis C

  • Chlamydia

  • HIV

  • Gonorrhea

What if I have symptoms?

We do not offer medical consultations when symptoms are present.

How long will it take to get my results?

The waiting period to get your test results depends on the laboratory that analyzes your samples:

  • For public laboratories, results are available in 7 to 10 days.

  • For private laboratories, results are available in 1 to 2 days.

How will I get my results?

Whether they are positive or negative, your results will be delivered to you by phone. Your results can also be sent to your online account.

If your results are positive

We provide medical support if your test results come back positive.
